Do it Yourself Pool Fence Installations

Should you attempt to install your pool fence yourself?

Proper installation is critical to the safety provided by a mesh pool fence.  Few products are so dependent upon proper installation to meet codes and performance standards and do the job for which it was intended.  For example, failure to install the fence with proper tension leaves an unsafe, unattactive fence you will feel like you wasted your money on - while a good quality installation provides a strong, safe, attractive barrier you will be proud of.  Drilling holes in your patio is a permanent alteration.  Drilling one or several in the wrong place due to missed measurements can turn a quality patio into something unsightly.  Many mesh pool fences available as "do-it-yourself " products are imported look-a-likes sold by wholesalers who have no installation or product performance experience.

As with any product, proper installation of mesh pool fencing requires specific tooling and product know-how.  The use of expensive diamond drill bits and diamond drilling equipment is better left to professionals who use this equipment daily.  To purchase bits and rent equipment can be cost prohibitve considering the low cost of our distributors installation and high probability of mistake.  Not to mention the learning curve that must be endured when proper training is not involved.

Don't take installation for granted! A quality installation is critical to both safety and appearance.

Professional Pool Fence Installation from Protect-A-Child Pool Fence CompanyToo often parents focus exclusively on a particular fence feature or the overall price of a mesh pool fence and fail to consider the importance of the person installing it. In reality, a quality installation is as critical to the safety provided by the fence as the fence itself.
And when it comes to appearance, a quality installation is absolutely vital.

At Protect-A-Child we are constantly amazed at the number of competing fences we see with crooked posts and sagging mesh. Installations should be performed by trained individuals who are as serious about the appearance of the fence and how it will function on your patio as the safety it provides. Please look through our photo gallery and gain an appreciation for how mesh pool fences should look when installed correctly. We take pride in a quality installation and how attractive our fence looks when installed correctly. You should too.

Protect-A-Child distributors are fully trained in proper installation and we have over 20 years experience installing mesh pool fencing. This experience allows us to install our fencing attractively around pools others must turn down!

THE BASICS:

  • Installation requires drilling a pattern of small, 1 1/4" (32mm) holes in the patio at 3' intervals.
  • We use diamond core drilling equipment for clean, precise drilling.
  • Once drilled, a polyvinyl sleeve is countersunk into each hole.
  • The fence posts then fit tightly into these sleeves.
  • Once installed and the sections latched...the result is a tight, strong, mesh barrier between your child and the pool.
